The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) will this Thursday disclose the Monthly Estimate of Economic Activity (EMAE) for January. According to the Argentine News Agency, this indicator reflects the monthly evolution of economic activity across all productive sectors at the national level. In turn, the EMAE serves as a preview of the variation rates of the quarterly Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The latest economic activity data showed a monthly increase of 1.8% and a year-on-year increase of 3.5%, closing out 2025 with a 4.4% rise compared to 2024. This latest data had a significant impact within the government, being acclaimed and celebrated by various national executive actors. President Javier Milei indicated that Argentina is 'advancing,' while also attacking the 'prophets of chaos' and the 'kuka risk.' Meanwhile, Economy Minister Luis Caputo analyzed the main positive points of the EMAE.
