Buenos Aires, March 24 (NA) – The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) confirmed a new increase for the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) that will take effect in April. The rise, which the Argentine News Agency was able to confirm, will be 2.9% and is applied within the framework of the automatic update scheme based on inflation, based on the Consumer Price Index (IPC) published by INDEC. With this update, the total amount of the AUH will increase from $132,814 in March to $136,666 in April. However, as is customary, the agency does not pay the total amount each month. ANSES withholds 20% of the benefit, which is released once the AUH Health Booklet is presented with health, vaccination, and school attendance controls. Total amount: $136,666. Direct payment (80%): $109,332 per child. Withholding (20%): $27,333. This withheld amount accumulates and is paid the following year, as long as the established requirements are met. Alimentary Card: how much is added in April In addition to the AUH, many families automatically receive the Alimentary Card, a key reinforcement for food purchases. The current amounts are: Families with 1 child: $52,250. Families with 2 children: $81,936. Families with 3 or more children: $108,062. With these values, a family with one child can exceed $161,000 monthly by adding both benefits. Other benefits: what happens with the AUE and AUH for disability The 2.9% increase will also impact other benefits: AUH for a child with a disability: rises to $445,003 (gross value). Pregnancy Allowance (AUE): is equated to the amount of the traditional AUH. What to keep in mind The increase directly responds to the monthly inflation rate.
