According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the difference between the most economical and the most expensive basket is ARS 136,021 and depends on the children's ages. According to INDEC data shared on X, the cost of raising a child in February 2026 was as follows: ARS 480,463 for children under 1 year, ARS 572,590 for children aged 1 to 3, ARS 490,459 for children aged 4 to 5, and ARS 616,484 for children and adolescents aged 6 to 12. «The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) presents the valuation of the child-rearing basket for early childhood, childhood, and adolescence (0 to 12 years), in accordance with the guidelines of the document 'Cost of consumption and care for early childhood, childhood, and adolescence.
