Starting tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026, the fare for 104 national bus lines connecting the City of Buenos Aires with the Greater Buenos Aires will increase. The minimum fare will rise to 700 pesos, completing a total increase of 41% compared to February, according to the Ministry of Transport.
The new fare structure applies to services that cross the General Paz and the Riachuelo between the City and the GBA. The minimum fare will increase from 650 to 700 pesos, while the longest routes, over 27 kilometers, will cost 959.71 pesos for users with a registered SUBE card or other electronic payment methods, according to the Argentine News Agency.
According to Transport, the adjustment completes a 41% increase on the values in force in February and aims to guarantee the sustainability of the system and reduce the gap with the fares of buses under the jurisdiction of the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and the Province of Buenos Aires, where the minimum fare is around 681.85 and 832.57 pesos respectively, sources in the sector confirmed.

The increase is the second stage of the Transport resolution: 31% in February + 10% now, which gives a total increase close to 41% on January's fares.

With an unregistered SUBE, the minimum becomes 1,113 pesos and the values scale up to around 1,525.94 pesos for longer journeys.
Relation to CABA and Province In CABA, the minimum bus fare is around 681.85 pesos, while in the Province it is around 832.57 pesos, because there it is adjusted every month with a 2% + inflation formula and an extra 10% was added at the end of 2025 and in March due to subsidies. The Nation says the objective is to "equalize costs" with the services operating within CABA, although it admits that they will remain below the fares in force in the Province.
