Buenos Aires, March 11 (NA) — The Synthetic Public Services Indicator (ISSP) recorded a 3.1% increase in December 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year, reported today the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). In seasonally adjusted terms, the indicator showed a positive variation of 1.9% compared to November 2025, while the trend-cycle series registered an increase of 0.1% from the previous month, according to the Argentine News Agency. Among the sectors that drove the positive result, postal services stood out with an annual expansion of 13.0%, followed by electricity, gas, and water with 6.7%, and waste collection with 5.9%. Passenger transport recorded a 2.3% increase, and telecommunications grew by 1.6% in the same comparison. Conversely, freight transport—which includes rail and commercial aviation—recorded the most pronounced drop, with a 7.5% annual decrease, while vehicles paying tolls decreased by 3.0%. In the monthly seasonally adjusted measurement, electricity, gas, and water led the increases with 5.5%, followed by postal services (8.4%) and waste collection (2.8%). Freight transport showed the largest monthly contraction at -3.5%.
