Argentine Government and Unions in Salary Talks

Buenos Aires, March 6 (NA) –The bargaining session between the Government and state guilds began after 2 PM this Friday at the headquarters of the Secretariat of Labor at 25 de Mayo 633, in downtown Buenos Aires. In the meeting, UPCN is set to accept the salary increase proposal while ATE will express its rejection.

“It was said that UPCN would reject it if the proposal was 1.5 percent, but they might accept 2 percent,” sources from ATE told the Argentine News Agency, and asserted that this last figure is “the same as nothing and continues to fall behind inflation”.
