Buenos Aires, March 4 (NA) -- 53% of employees state that their workload leaves little room in their schedule for training, even when it is considered necessary, according to the TalentLMS 2026 L&D Report. On the other hand, 50% of employees also do not believe their leaders are prepared to guide the transformation with AI, according to the Udemy 2026 Global Learning & Skills Trends Report. Agencia Noticias Argentinas had access to both studies. The combination of these two perceptions indicates that digital learning and workflow are becoming consolidated as an alternative. Thus, 90% of companies offer digital training, which demands 40% to 60% less time than in-person formats. Trends such as personalization and microlearning are emerging, with brief and accessible content from mobile devices, which facilitates continuous learning without interrupting daily operations.
The impact on talent retention is tangible: according to AIHR, organizations with strong career development programs are 42% more likely to position themselves as pioneers in AI adoption and show better talent retention indicators (67% compared to 50%). The same report shows an explosive growth in demand for training in specific tools: interest in GitHub Copilot increased by 13,500% year-over-year. According to Grupo Gestión experts, the focus must be on the ability to strategically integrate new tools and criteria. However, the journey is a challenge. The framework in which the structural change in training and development (L&D) occurs is imposed by the speed of business cycles and the incorporation of AI, leading to a rethinking of training models: it is no longer enough to acquire knowledge, now the key is permanent adaptability and the concrete application of skills in real work environments. Human skills are gaining centrality.
According to Absorb LMS, strategic and critical thinking leads the development priorities for 2026 with 56%, above digital fluency (44%) and leadership skills (42%).
Training, employability, and results
“This scenario redefines the link between training, employability, and results: in a market where learning times are shortening and skills are becoming more dynamic than positions, having flexible talent schemes aligned with the real needs of the business becomes key,” stated Cecilia Montes, Human Capital Manager of Grupo Gestión. “The combination of training within the workflow and adaptable hiring models allows organizations to respond with greater agility, without giving up productivity or quality,” she added.
