Buenos Aires, March 3 (NA) -- The median annual budget for salary increases projected by companies for 2026 stands at 22% on a market median, in line with the inflation estimated by companies for the same period, which also hovers around 22%, while private projections surveyed by Mercer place it at 20.6%. This emerges from the first 2026 edition of the TISA report (Salary Increase Trends in Argentina), presented by Mercer, a leading global human resources and business consulting firm of Marsh, which analyzes the salary decisions of organizations in the current economic context, to which the Argentine News Agency had access. For 2026, the TISA report also indicates some changes in the dynamics in which increases are granted. The study also shows that projections remain aligned between multinationals and local capital companies. Additionally, 57% of organizations combine multiple criteria, such as market, inflation, and performance, to define their increases, reflecting a more planned approach to salary management. Frequency of Increases 35% of organizations plan to make between one and two increases during the year, while 31% estimate applying three salary adjustments, showing a reduction in the fragmentation observed in years of higher volatility. Likewise, among the priorities of the Human Resources area for this year are differentiated remuneration based on skills and roles, the redefinition of benefits, and the strengthening of short-term incentives, reflecting a shift towards more comprehensive strategies for attracting and retaining talent in companies. “Our report confirms that salary policy has stopped responding exclusively to inflationary dynamics to re-integrate into business planning,” stated Mercedes Bernardi, principal at Mercer. “In the current Argentine context, marked by a transition towards scenarios of lower volatility, it is essential to have updated information on how companies are defining their compensation budgets and strategies to understand the evolution of the labor market and to support decision-making with greater predictability,” she added.
