Argentina Updates Aviation Regulations to Align with International Standards

The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) of Argentina has approved the amendment of Parts 91, 121, and 135 of the Argentine Civil Aviation Regulations (RAAC). This update adapts the equipment requirements for aircraft operating in the country and aligns them with the standards of the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The update includes adjustments to safety systems such as Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS/ACAS), Ground Proximity Warning Systems (GPWS/TAWS), flight recorders, and emergency locator transmitters. With these changes, Argentina adopts technical criteria in line with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) of the FAA, maintaining consistency with the standards and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The objective is to have requirements that match the currently available technology and prevailing international practices. In this way, the supervision and maintenance control systems of the country of aircraft registration are recognized. These measures are part of the comprehensive modernization and reorganization of the aerocommercial system driven by the National Government, aimed at providing the market with greater competitiveness and operational flexibility, speeding up fleet renewal, and achieving cost savings in ANAC's surveillance processes, facilitating the arrival of more operators and aircraft in all regions of the country. ANAC continues to advance towards a more modern, efficient, and internationally aligned regulatory framework, strengthening the development of the aerocommercial industry as a key tool for federal integration and the country's economic growth.
