Fishing is one of the strongest economic activities on the Argentine Atlantic coast outside of the summer season. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), December was a good month, as it grew 4% year-on-year in 2025, but it fell 6.2% compared to November of that same year. According to a report by the Argentine News Agency, the fishing sector ended 2025 on a downward trend, with a decline of 9.5%. Both figures are in relation to the previous month.
