On Monday, December 26, the Argentine Central Bank announced a strong jump in foreign‑exchange reserves, reaching a new record of US$43.610 billion. Over the Christmas week, reserves rose by US$1.197 billion, and the spread between the official and the ‘blue’ dollar sits at about 5 %. At the official exchange market in BNA the buying rate is A$1.425 per dollar and the selling rate A$1.475. In the wholesale sector the dollar trades at A$1.4525, while the ‘card’ dollar is at A$1.9175. Bitcoin is quoted at US$87 231.
