December inflation 2.5%

December inflation in Argentina is projected at around 2.5 %, according to Eco Go’s latest update. This level matches the range seen in November, driven by tariff increases and seasonal demand for the year‑end holidays. The agency analyzed data on food consumed at home and outside, recording a 0.6 % rise and a 2.3 % rise respectively.

"For December, the overall inflation is projected to be around 2.5 % per month," Eco Go said. Preliminary estimates from other consultancies had shown a 2.1 % increase, but individual measurements revealed higher figures. LCG, for example, recorded an average food rise of 2.8 % in the four weeks before December 17.

This figure is crucial because it marks the end of 2025, affecting the update of pensions, family allowances, and floating exchange bands. It will also set new monotributo scales that are reclassified in January 2026. Specialists warn that the last week of December could push inflation even higher due to holiday demand.
