Buenos Aires, Dec. 17 (NA) — The national government presented this Wednesday the Municipal Tax Transparency portal, which details the taxes charged in provinces and municipalities. 'With the aim of strengthening fiscal transparency at the level of local governments, the Ministry of Economy publishes the Municipal Tax Transparency portal, a tool that brings together tax information from municipalities across the country,' the official communiqué from the Ministry of Finance, received by Noticias Argentinas agency, stated. The release added that the 'Municipal Tax Map allows to identify relevant aspects such as taxable bases and applicable rates for selected taxes, as well as to make comparisons between jurisdictions, with the objective of promoting fiscal transparency and facilitating the analysis of municipal tax systems.'
This publication comes in the context of the discussion between the Nation and the provinces regarding the level of taxes charged by each jurisdiction.
