New Salary Increase Agreement Reached in Argentina

The Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECyS) and business chambers of the sector have reached a new salary increase agreement in the commercial bargaining, which includes non-remunerative fixed sums until April 2026. The agreement was signed by FAECyS, led by Armando Cavalieri, along with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC), the Argentine Confederation of the Medium Enterprise (CAME) and the Argentine Confederation of Business Entities (UDECA), and will be effective from July 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, a non-remunerative fixed sum of $60,000 was agreed upon as a salary recomposition for the months of December, January, February, and March. This sum will be extinguished with each monthly payment, except for the one corresponding to March 2026, which will be incorporated into the basics in April of that year. Additionally, the validity of the non-remunerative fixed sum of $40,000, originally agreed on June 26, 2025, was extended until March 2026 inclusive, with the same terms and scope. The parties also agreed to include a review clause for March 2026, in which they will evaluate the economic variations that may have occurred up to that time. The understanding clarifies that the agreed-upon increases will not be binding for wage agreements signed in the city of Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, although the agreed sums will constitute the conventional minimum once homologated.
