Buenos Aires, December 5 (NA) – YPF, along with three other companies, signed an agreement for the sale of crude oil extracted from Vaca Muerta to Chile. In addition to the national oil company, the consortium includes Vista, Shell Argentina, and Equinor, and the agreement was signed with Chile's state-owned oil company, ENAP. The agreement stipulates a contract validity until June 2033 and includes "an initial aggregated volume of up to 70,000 barrels per day". According to an official statement received by the Argentine News Agency, the deal could generate "estimated revenues for the country of US$12 billion throughout its execution". The partnership with ENAP "has deepened in recent years following the rehabilitation of the Trans-Andes Pipeline (OTA) and the construction of the Vaca Muerta Norte Pipeline", the official report noted. This infrastructure is considered "key to optimizing the evacuation of crude to Chile and, potentially, to international markets via the Pacific". Currently, "40% of the Neuquén basin's exports are shipped through this transportation system".
