Buenos Aires, December 4 (NA) – The Union of Tramway and Motor Transport Workers (UTA) confirmed that starting at 00:00 on Friday, December 5, a work stoppage will begin at companies that have not paid the full November salary, the organization reported in a communiqué accessed by the Argentine News Agency. The union entity stated that the salary is the 'daily effort' with which workers fulfilled their obligations and constitutes the 'direct sustenance' of their families.
In line with this, UTA demanded immediate payment and warned that its members 'cannot and must not continue working' if this essential right is not met. The union urged the authorities to use 'legal and administrative means' to avoid conflicts that disturb social peace and affect workers and the general population.
