The Argentine government has set new minimum wage floors with staggered increases from November 2025 to August 2026, alongside an adjustment to unemployment benefits. This decision follows failed negotiations between union and employer representatives. According to the new resolution, the minimum wage will rise by 16.8% by August 2026. Unemployment benefits will be equivalent to 75% of a worker's best monthly salary but will not be less than 50% or more than 100% of the current Minimum Living Wage. Despite these increases, the real minimum wage has fallen by 35% between November 2023 and October 2024, and by 7.7% so far this year.
