Buenos Aires Public Transport Fares to Increase Again

Public transport fares in Buenos Aires are set to increase again. On December 2nd, prices for buses, subways, and toll roads will rise. The subway fare will go up to 1.206 pesos. During peak hours, tolls on the Perito Moreno and 25 de Mayo highways will cost 4,912.67 pesos, and on the Illia highway, 2,042.38 pesos. Bus fares will vary by zone. In the city, a trip from 0 to 3 km will cost 593.52 pesos. In the Buenos Aires province, the minimum fare will rise to 658 pesos. The government justifies these changes by the need to modernize the public transport fleet, compensate for tariff delays, and fund public works.
