Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – For another year, the City of Buenos Aires has confirmed that in 2026, it will maintain the exemption from paying the ABL (Real Estate Tax) for retirees, pensioners, and people with disabilities residing in the area. This is stipulated in the 2026 Budget, which was approved this Friday in the city's Legislature with 38 affirmative votes and 21 negative votes. In 2025, 85,426 retirees and pensioners benefited from this waiver system.
Retirees and pensioners who wish to access the exemption must meet a series of requirements, as learned by the Argentine News Agency.
The property must have a Uniform Tax Value equal to or less than ARS $48.5 million. The property in question must be a single, permanent residence. The beneficiary must receive a pension equal to or less than four (4) times the minimum pension. In the case of people with disabilities, the first two requirements must be met to qualify for the benefit that the City will grant in 2026.
