Argentina's Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, met with representatives of British companies operating in the country and stated that the upcoming year 'will be spectacular.' During the meeting, Caputo expressed optimism for 2026, citing a 'convergence of very positive political, economic, and social factors,' according to information accessed by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. He also referred to the bills that the Executive Branch will send to Congress within the framework of extraordinary sessions to be held at the end of the year. In this sense, the official indicated that these proposals will serve as a 'signal' that the Government will continue on the path of macroeconomic order and tax reduction. He detailed the labor reform and the 'Presumption of Fiscal Innocence' bill. Caputo stated that these legislative proposals will 'encourage formalization and generate more employment.' Along the same lines, he highlighted that the development of the capital market will be promoted, and affirmed that the growth of countries occurs 'through credit.' On the other hand, he assured that competitiveness does not depend on a strong dollar, but is a consequence of lower taxes. 'That is why it is so important to keep growing to be able to return growth to companies and people through tax cuts,' he added. Caputo was accompanied by José Luis Daza and Pablo Lavigne.
