An investigation into illegal sales and trademark counterfeiting led to the seizure of nearly 10 thousand counterfeit garments valued at approximately 13 million pesos. The investigation was carried out by the PCyF 35 Prosecutor's Office, specialized in Complex Investigations, under the charge of Celsa Ramírez. Following a complaint by representatives of various brands, a series of simultaneous inspections were ordered in commercial establishments in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Pompeya to verify the sale of counterfeit apparel and footwear. In these operations, nearly 10 thousand counterfeit items from brands such as Puma, Nike, Under Armour, Jordan, Lacoste, among others, were seized. The total value of the seized items is estimated at 13 million pesos. The owners of the establishments were subject to criminal proceedings, and their premises were immediately and preventively closed for lack of commercial permits and for failing to comply with mandatory safety measures. Furthermore, various notices of violation were issued, and they were required to adapt to the current regulations governing the licensing and authorization of economic activities in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
