Kicillof Criticizes Milei's Economic Policies

The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, expressed his concern this morning about the policies implemented by Javier Milei's government, which he believes are causing the destruction of the Argentine productive apparatus. In radio statements, Kicillof noted: 'They are destroying the Argentine productive apparatus, they are squandering it at a time when all world leaders are looking for ways to protect their own, and so Milei's approach is very discordant and very harmful.'

The Buenos Aires governor participated in a meeting in Paraná alongside other governors such as Rogelio Frigerio (Entre Ríos), Maximiliano Pullaro (Santa Fe), Sergio Ziliotto (La Pampa), Raúl Jalil (Catamarca), and Ignacio Torres (Chubut). Topics discussed included federal development, public works, infrastructure, tax equity, and the Argentine productive matrix. Kicillof emphasized that this is an agenda that contrasts with Milei's policies, as the latter does not prioritize production, labor, or the national industry.

Regarding the decline in tax revenue, Kicillof mentioned that it is due to the decisions made by Milei's government, leading to a significant decrease in the resources that reach the provinces and municipalities. He also pointed out that the responsibilities of provinces and municipalities have increased, as Milei does not address critical aspects such as health, education, security, and maintenance of national roads.

Kicillof criticized the neglect of infrastructure like national roads and the paralysis of numerous works in the province. Furthermore, he questioned the applicability of the economic recipes proposed by the Austrian School, which he deemed ineffective and obsolete. In this sense, the governor affirmed that Milei's government prefers to favor financial gambling instead of promoting the country's productive sector.

In summary, Axel Kicillof expressed his concern over the policies implemented by Milei's government, which he considers harmful for Argentina's productive development and responsible for the reduction of resources allocated to provinces and municipalities.
