The LATAM airline has announced the operation of a seasonal route that will connect Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, with Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the period from June to August. Florencia Scardaccione, Commercial Manager of LATAM in Argentina, pointed out that this decision will expand options for Argentine customers and it is expected to transport around 19,500 passengers on this route specifically planned for the high season.
In addition to this seasonal route, LATAM will also operate other routes during the same period, with flights between São Paulo/Guarulhos and Buenos Aires/Aeroparque, Buenos Aires/Ezeiza, Mendoza, and Bariloche. The airline highlighted that this resumption reflects LATAM group's commitment to expanding its connection network in Argentina, having transported more than two million passengers during the year 2024 and being responsible for 22% of regional passenger transport to and from the country, according to statistics from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC).
LATAM Brazil will fly from Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, to Rio de Janeiro between June 23 and August 31, offering this service daily. The flights will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 12 passengers in Premium Economy and 162 in Economy. It is worth noting that the last time flights operated between Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires was in March 2024.
