
Almost 9,886 users remained without power in the AMBA after a blackout that affected the area, with the downtown area being one of the most impacted. According to the National Electricity Regulatory Agency (ENRE), 8,837 Edesur users and 1,049 Edenor users continued without electric supply.
The Retiro neighborhood in Buenos Aires was one of the most affected areas, which caused the train service on the Mitre Line to be limited. The Tigre branch had its route shortened to Barrancas, while the Suárez and Bartolomé Mitre branches ended their journey at Belgrano R.
On a night without electric service for thousands of users, the challenging task of power companies to restore energy in the region affected by the blackout was evident. Some sectors remained in the dark, causing complications in public transport and the daily lives of residents.
"We hope they can resolve this problem soon, as the lack of light greatly affects our daily activities," expressed a resident of the affected area. Uncertainty and discomfort reigned among residents who anxiously awaited the restoration of electrical service in their homes.
