Raúl Barcesat, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses, highlighted: "A launch that sets the course for transport in Argentina." With the renewal of Actros, Atego, and Accelo, and the launch of the FleetBoard portal, the company reaffirms its commitment to the Argentine industry, betting on innovation, safety, and connectivity in heavy transport. Additionally, it confirmed an investment of USD 110 million to expand its local production.
The launch of the New Generation of Trucks took place at the Professional Training Center for Transport (FPT) in Escobar. Paula Díaz, Customer Service Manager at Mercedes-Benz, mentioned the importance of this project for the company's growth in Argentina. In 2024, the brand led with a 38% market share in trucks and 70% in buses.
For his part, Roberto Faist, Product and Marketing Manager, expressed: "We work to deliver trucks with the highest technology and quality, supporting our customers on their path to a safer and more productive future." The event included a dynamic track test to experience the performance of the new models.
The New Generation of Mercedes-Benz Trucks includes models such as Actros, Atego, and Accelo, each designed with specific technology, efficiency, and safety for different transport needs. For example, the Actros has a Mercedes-Benz OM 460 BlueTec 5 engine, Mercedes PowerShift 3 transmission, and load capacities of up to 60 tons.
The presentation of FleetBoard, a fleet management system based on big data, was one of the highlighted announcements. Paula Díaz explained that FleetBoard combines technological innovation with operational efficiency, allowing real-time monitoring of truck location and consumption, optimizing routes and performance, detecting failures, and improving fleet efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz also confirmed its investment plan of USD 110 million for the construction of the Industrial Center in Zárate, which will be operational in 2026. The company focuses on providing comprehensive solutions for its customers, combining technology, efficiency, and safety.
