The Undersecretariat of Air Transport of Argentina has authorized Sky Airlines and Paranair to operate new routes within the national territory, which will help increase regional connectivity. This information has been published in today's Official Bulletin.
According to the provisions, Sky Airlines will be able to offer services on the routes Santiago de Chile - Buenos Aires - Salvador de Bahia, as well as Puerto Montt and San Carlos de Bariloche, all under bilateral agreements with Chile and Paraguay. These new routes have been made possible by the existing air commerce agreements between both countries.
The provision highlights that Sky Airlines has been designated by the Chilean aeronautical authority to operate regular and non-regular services to Argentina. Flights between Buenos Aires and Salvador de Bahia will commence on April 2, while those from Puerto Montt to Bariloche will start on April 4 of the same month, with two weekly services.
Additionally, the route between Asunción and Salto by the Paraguayan airline Paranair is added. The opening of these new routes will strengthen air connectivity in the region and facilitate travel between the involved countries.
