Controversy Surrounds Libra Cryptocurrency in Argentina

Hayden Davis, the CEO of Kelsier Ventures, has made a decision regarding his participation in the cryptocurrency Libra. In an interview with YouTuber Coffeezilla, he expressed his concern for the safety of his family and the potential implication with Argentine cartels or other organizations.

Davis stated: "I do not want to benefit from something that could endanger my life or that of my loved ones, nor get involved with cartels from Argentina or elsewhere." Despite his initial support for Javier Milei, a recognized Argentine economist and politician, Davis has chosen to distance himself from promoting Libra.

In light of the controversy generated, Davis decided not to use the funds from the cryptocurrency, estimated at 110 million dollars, for his personal benefit. Additionally, he has given the Argentine government a 48-hour deadline to present a clear plan on the management of these funds, stating: "If they want me to return it, I will."

In his statement, Davis expressed his confidence in Milei, describing him as a clean and uncorrupted person. However, he made it clear that he did not want Libra to become the "official memecoin" associated with the Argentine politician. Davis asserted that his original intention was to carry out an experiment that went wrong and that has affected the presidential level.

In the midst of the controversy, Davis seeks to regain public trust and advance in other talks related to blockchain technologies, without compromising his reputation. His stance on the situation suggests a focus on transparency and accountability in handling the funds related to the cryptocurrency Libra.
