The parallel market is currently priced at 10 pesos below the value it opened the year with, which was 1230 pesos at the close of 2024. Last Friday, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic bought 37 million dollars in the Unique and Free Exchange Market, which caused a rise of 15 pesos in the parallel market at the end of the week. On the other hand, the official dollar is today Saturday, February 15th, at 1038 pesos for buying and 1078 pesos for selling at the National Bank.

Regarding reserves, they have decreased by 4000 million dollars at the Central Bank. The card dollar stands at 1401.4 pesos after the modifications made by the government in the perceptions for this exchange rate. The exchange rate gap of the parallel dollar is around 13.17%. It is crucial to monitor market behavior in the coming days to determine if the upward trend will continue or change.

In the last 12 months, the blue dollar has fluctuated between 1205 and 1250 pesos. In the Argentine market, different types of dollars operate such as official, retail, wholesale, blue, MEP, CCL, among others. Each with its function and specific quotation in the market.

On the other hand, the blue dollar is bought at 1200 pesos and sold at 1220 pesos in the caves of the City of Buenos Aires this Saturday, February 15th. To acquire MEP dollars, it is necessary to buy bonds in pesos and then sell them in dollars. The volatility of the blue dollar has shown some stability compared to annual figures.

During the market close on Friday, February 14th, the blue dollar was quoted at 1220 pesos. The different dollar quotes varied in banks and financial institutions in the City of Buenos Aires, where the buying and selling prices in various relevant banks stand out. The quotation of the blue dollar at the close on Thursday, February 13th reached 1225 pesos, showing an increase compared to the opening session.
