The next national holiday in Argentina falls on Monday, November 18, celebrating National Sovereignty Day. This day, although commemorated on the 20th of the same month, has been moved to provide a long weekend for citizens.

In the 2024 holiday calendar in Argentina, several important days stand out. Among the immovable holidays are festivities such as New Year's Day, Carnival, National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice, among others. Additionally, there are movable holidays like the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity and National Sovereignty Day.

During 2024, Argentines will be able to enjoy several long weekends, with breaks lasting from three to five days. These periods of rest occur from the end of December of one year to the beginning of the next, as well as on key dates like Carnival and other significant commemorations.

After the past national holidays and with one of the last long weekends of the recent year, Argentines have been granted a festive day on Monday, October 21. This surprising break has allowed many Argentines to enjoy a well-deserved rest and create their own three-day long weekend.

Today, October 21, the holiday is celebrated in commemoration of the 149th anniversary of the foundation of the Buenos Aires party of Brandsen. The Municipality has organized a ceremonial act in tribute to this occasion.
