Buenos Aires, Feb 17 (NA) – A Buenos Aires police captain shot a motorcycle thief during an attempted robbery in the Buenos Aires town of Billinghurst, General San Martín district. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the officer, whose identity is being withheld, observed that he was being pursued by a motorcycle with two thieves as he was heading home. The officer ordered them to stop, fired at one of the attackers, who died instantly, while the rider of the smaller vehicle fled. The prosecutor in the case ordered the arrest and subsequent release of the police officer without taking action.
