Argentinian Police Recaptures Three Fugitive Inmates

The police of Misiones recaptured the three remaining fugitives on Wednesday, who had escaped along with four other inmates from a police station in the city of Bernardo de Irigoyen, located in the northeast of the province, near the border with Brazil. The operation took place in Dos Hermanas, where officers cordoned off a residential area, which led to the location of the last three fugitives: Darío Brítez, Daniel Simons, and Agustín Morais, who surrendered without resistance when surrounded. Thus, the provincial police concluded the search for the seven escapees who had broken out of the detention area in Bernardo de Irigoyen. During the nearly two-day intense search, which involved about 500 officers, the others were apprehended. Earlier in the day, Alejandro Damián Ramos, alias 'Dente'; Jorge Guillermo Ojeda; Emanuel Felipe Kraulich, alias 'Pirata'; and Juan José Ferreira Álvez had already been recaptured. All of them are now in the custody of the judicial authorities. The operation was coordinated by the Police Command from a base established in Regional Unit XII, with the support of regional commands, investigative divisions, and tactical groups that operated in various northern jurisdictions of the province.
