
Almost 28 years ago, photographer José Luis Cabezas was found dead in a burned car with his hands tied and two shots in the head. Three years later, those responsible for his murder were sentenced to life imprisonment. Among them was Horacio Anselmo Braga, a member of the band "Los Horneros.
In a conversation with a radio outlet, Gladys, sister of José Luis Cabezas, shared that her son encountered Horacio Braga, one of the convicted, at a concert in Baradero. The young man, not knowing who he was, mentioned that he was involved in the murder of Cabezas. The revelation left the boy stunned, who then made the connection with his uncle.
According to Gladys, her son was perplexed by the revelation and could not enjoy the concert. The mother reflected on the lack of exemplary sentences in the country, stating that if they existed, crimes like that of Cabezas would not happen. The next January 25 will mark the 28th anniversary of the murder of José Luis Cabezas in Pinamar, a case that shocked Argentine society due to its brutality.
The encounter between Cabezas' nephew and one of his convicted murderers, Horacio Braga, highlighted how impunity persists in the country. Gladys recalled that Braga was part of the perpetrators of the crime that changed her family's life.
