The technical director of Independiente, Julio Vaccari, shared that he experienced nervousness during the remaining twenty minutes contested in the match against Banfield, which was suspended due to rain and resumed this Tuesday for the Apertura Tournament. After the scoreless tie in the mini-match, Vaccari analyzed the brief encounter in the press conference.
In his words, Vaccari emphasized: "Regarding the analysis, one reflects more on today's 20-minute match than on the game from Sunday, as the playing field did not allow either team to play." He also added that he experienced a lot of nervousness during the situation, but acknowledged that it was an intense match contested by both teams.
During the talk prior to the resumption of the match, the coach urged his players to seek the goal in all situations due to the lack of remaining time. Vaccari acknowledged that both teams were in search of victory, although given the circumstances of the game, the tie was a fair result.
Finally, Vaccari addressed the controversial play between Diego Tarzia from Independiente and Gerónimo Rivera from Banfield, where the former received a warning that generated protests from the rival team. The coach stated that Tarzia did not have bad intentions and that it was simply a foul of the match, dismissing the need for a red card in that situation.
