Tension in the Libertarian Block During Session

The internal conflict in La Libertad Avanza escalated to unexpected levels during the session of the Chamber of Deputies. During the meeting, there was a confrontation between deputies Rocío Bonacci and Lilia Lemoine, who had a strong altercation. The discussion revolved around the quorum necessary to vote on the environmental emergency in Bahía Blanca and the Investigative Commission regarding the $LIBRA case.

Amid the tension, Bonacci threw a glass of water at Lemoine, an action that was publicly denounced by deputy María Celeste Ponce. "They threw water at us for asking them to stand, this is unforgivable," Ponce expressed. The situation became even more chaotic when, in response to being recorded by Lemoine with her phone, Bonacci threw the water.

The disorder generated in the libertarian bloc led the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, to suspend the session due to lack of quorum. Another episode of confrontation occurred between Oscar Zagoy and Lisandro Almirón, who were on the verge of physical altercation. The internal tension within the ruling party became evident during this day, which was characterized by incidents and strong disagreements among the present legislators.
