President Javier Milei arrived this morning in Bahía Blanca on an unannounced visit, with the purpose of assessing the situation after the devastating storm that caused the death of 16 people, disappearances, and severe material damage.
The president landed at the Comandante Espora naval base and from there transferred in trucks, under the custody of the Federal Police and Presidential Security, to the former bus terminal of Bahía Blanca, located at the intersection of Brown and Drago streets, where the city's monitoring center operates.
At the site, he was welcomed by Mayor Federico Susbielles, who provided him with a detailed description of the impact of the storm and the ongoing assistance efforts. After staying a few minutes in the monitoring center, Milei returned to the trucks and headed to an undisclosed destination, with no further details about the rest of his agenda in the city officially revealed.
According to local sources, the visit was kept under wraps to prevent protests or demonstrations against him.
