A Chinese national has been sentenced to 3 years in prison, suspended on probation, for repeated sexual abuse. The victims were three women who worked at his establishment. The individual is Xiling Jiang, alias Leo, who was sentenced by Judge Gabriel Giuliani of the Correctional Court of the Bahía Blanca Judicial Department. The judge also imposed rules of conduct that he must comply with for a period of 4 years, under penalty of revoking the probation. According to reports, these rules include establishing a fixed residence, submitting to the care of the Patronato de Liberados (Board for the Supervision of Parolees), and avoiding approaching or making any contact with the victims. The judge found the facts proven and considered the victims' accounts to be plausible, credible, and compelling, supported by the rest of the evidence, including peripheral testimonies and psychological evaluations. The perpetrator's actions showed intent and willfulness (dolo), as, despite being warned by the victims, he continued to act in the same manner, knowingly causing harm to their sexual integrity. According to the investigation conducted by prosecutor Diego Torres, one of the incidents occurred on February 28, 2022, when the Asian man touched one of the employees on the buttocks and subjected her to other abusive situations of a similar nature against her will while she was performing her work tasks at the man's supermarket, located at 11 de Abril 100. Additionally, between February 2020 and July 2021, Jiang touched the intimate parts of two other women on repeated occasions, taking advantage of the labor dependency relationship they had.
