Buenos Aires, November 25 (NA) – A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison in a abbreviated trial for assaulting and abusing his partner during an incident recorded this February in the Buenos Aires district of Tornquist.
According to the Argentine News Agency, the Criminal Court No. 3 of the Bahía Blanca Judicial Department declared the man criminally responsible for the crime of aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access, repeated and aggravated by causing serious harm to the victim's physical health.
In the framework of the case handled by prosecutor Diego Torres through the Tornquist Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that the incident occurred on February 14 when the couple was staying in an apartment. Upon the woman's refusal to have sexual relations, the man began to assault her.
The man grabbed her by the neck, tore her clothes, and carnally accessed her in a violent manner and against her will, then punched her in the face.
In this context, he subjected her to various abusive situations that caused her various bleeding injuries while threatening to kill her, until the victim was able to leave the place and ask for help.
A neighbor called an ambulance and the woman was taken to the local hospital to be immediately referred to the Penna Hospital in Bahía Blanca, where she underwent surgery.
