Solidarity in Bahía Blanca: 54 Million Raised

The reporter Paula Bernini from Todo Noticias (TN) was visibly emotional while announcing that the solidarity of the viewers had managed to raise 54 million pesos to help the families of Villa Derby, one of the areas hardest hit by the floods in Bahía Blanca. "Today I leave wet and freezing, but completely happy," said the journalist, moved by the response of the people.

"This incredible Argentina can indeed come together and show solidarity," Bernini said with tears, highlighting the importance of the help received. The neighbors, in turn, thanked for the support and expressed their joy at being able to begin the reconstruction of their homes after the devastation caused by the floods.

The donation obtained will allow the rental of pumps to drain the water that continues to flood numerous homes in the neighborhood, as well as improve the sanitary conditions affected by the collapse of the sewage system in the area, according to the Argentine News Agency. The critical situation in which the families of Villa Derby found themselves is starting to ease thanks to the solidarity shown by the audience and the rapid response to the emergency.
