Journalist Paula Bernini, who is covering the storm in Bahía Blanca for TN, has denied through her social networks a viral message that was falsely attributed to her and caused controversy. Bernini, who had already been the subject of previous criticism on social media for other incidents during her coverage in Bahía Blanca, firmly denied making any political comments related to her fall in the water.
According to Agencia Noticias Argentinas (NA), a fake account on the social network X posted a video in which Bernini stumbles and falls into the water during the coverage, accompanied by text questioning the absence of Governor Axel Kicillof and former President Cristina Kirchner in the affected area.
In response to the dissemination of this message, the journalist quickly clarified: "I am not the one who writes on that account, it doesn't have a verification tick." Bernini emphasized that the account in question does not belong to her and reiterated her position of staying away from political comments in her reports.
This incident highlights the importance of verifying the source of information before sharing it, as well as the vulnerability of journalists to the viralization of false content that may tarnish their professional work.
