Pope Francis is informed about the floods affecting Bahía Blanca, according to the Vatican Press Office, which highlighted that the Supreme Pontiff is close to those suffering due to this tragedy. Despite being in the process of recovering from bilateral pneumonia, the Pope remains aware of the situation in Argentina and shows his solidarity with the inhabitants of Bahía Blanca.

Regarding his health status, it was mentioned that the Pope had a restful night and remains stable within a complex clinical picture, receiving the necessary medical therapies, including respiratory and motor therapy. Meanwhile, in Bahía Blanca, the situation is critical, as it is estimated that about 400 billion pesos will be needed to fully recover the city.

After the major flooding, efforts to remove mud and water continue, as well as search and repair operations in the affected area. So far, the unfortunate number of 16 fatalities has been reported, and the search continues for two sisters, aged 1 and 5 years, who have not yet been found.
