Solidarity in Bahía Blanca After Severe Floods

A storm hit the city of Bahía Blanca, leaving behind 400 millimeters of water and causing the death of at least 16 people, as well as flooding in several areas such as Ingeniero White and General Daniel Cerri. In response to this situation, the inhabitants of the city have shown great solidarity, offering help and providing services to those in most need.

María Luisa, a university student who has lived in the city for two years, found her vehicle filled with mud inside and remnants of leaves, mud, and dirt in the engine after the storm. 'At least being able to charge something to call my relatives who are in the area,' she expressed, worried about the situation.

Traders like Hugo have appreciated the cellphone charging service that has been provided in the city, facilitating communication amid the chaos. As hours passed, both commercial establishments and service stations came together to offer solidarity to their neighbors, allowing them to charge their mobile devices.

In addition to the recharges, the community has united in cleaning tasks and helping those who suffered damage to their homes and properties due to the flooding. From cleaning mud off vehicles to assisting in the recovery of furniture and belongings, the neighbors have shown a spirit of solidarity in the face of adversity.

Some vehicle owners who were swept away by the water current have also received help from their neighbors to try to recover their cars. With gestures such as keeping hoods open and vehicle doors accessible to facilitate cleaning, the community has actively engaged in alleviating the aftermath of the storm.

In the midst of the crisis, solidarity has not been lacking in Bahía Blanca. Businesses and residents have shared resources such as extension cords and plugs so those without electricity can charge their cell phones and stay in touch. Cooperation among neighbors has been crucial in times of need, demonstrating that together they can overcome any challenge.
