Bahía Blanca Recovers Water Supply After Storm

The company Aguas Bonaerenses reported that the power supply has been restored in the Patagonia and Grünbein treatment plants in Bahía Blanca, which had been operating with generators all day. This recovery allows partial pumping to the high area with electrical supply, while the pumping to the neighborhoods Miramar, Altos de Palihue, and La Falda (Parque Independencia) are operational with generator assistance.

Regarding the water supply from the Parque Independencia cistern, although it has remained operational, there is a lack of supply in sectors served by gravity due to damage to the water network caused during the storm, such as dislocation of pipes and sections displaced by water.

ABSA indicated that the neighborhoods currently affected by this situation are Kilómetro 5, Pacífico, Universitario, Los Almendros, San Cayetano, Villa del Parque, and Villa Floresta. The operational staff is working to identify the points where these damages have occurred and to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
