The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, along with the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, visited the areas affected by the floods in Bahía Blanca. Bullrich described the situation as extremely serious and devastating, with the city suffering severe damage and entire neighborhoods severely affected. In a tense meeting, they were confronted by citizens frustrated by the lack of assistance at a critical moment, expressing their helplessness by shouting, "We lost everything."
Bullrich leads the assistance operation in the city, which involves personnel from the Armed Forces, Federal Police, Coast Guard, and Gendarmerie. Although the weather has improved and the water has receded in some areas, there are neighborhoods where the situation remains critical due to stagnant water. The minister pointed out that despite improvements in certain areas, the need for immediate assistance in others is urgent.
Images from the meeting show the officials leaving in a truck, visibly affected by the situation and the complaints from residents. Bullrich emphasized the importance of joint intervention with National Highway in concrete operations to address the emergency in Bahía Blanca. The community continues to await responses and effective assistance to deal with the consequences of the floods.
