Severe Weather Causes Chaos in Bahia Blanca

In Engineer White, located 7 kilometers from the city center and the port area, the situation is devastating. Hundreds of destroyed cars, neighbors trying to remove furniture from their flooded homes, and others using buckets to eliminate the accumulated water. In the university neighborhood, known as the Maldonado Canal area, several bridges are closed due to damage caused by the heavy rains.

"The intensity of the water has made entire structures disappear. Many trees have fallen, forcing traffic cuts," residents point out. In General Cerri, belonging to the Bahía Blanca district, the situation has been chaotic after the severe storm. Many sectors remain without electrical supply, leaving traffic lights inoperable and complicating mobility in the city.

"We feel powerless, sad, and furious. This storm has caused us problems of all kinds, from flooding in our homes to total communication issues with our loved ones," express the neighbors. Currently, local and provincial authorities are working together to mitigate the effects of the disaster.

The next day, Bahía Blanca woke up with a partially cloudy sky and a gentle breeze that helps dry some areas affected by the rains. Additionally, there was a notable meeting held the night before by the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, along with national ministers Patricia Bullrich (Security) and Luis Petri (Defense), accompanied by the mayor of Bahía Blanca, Federico Susbielles.
