The Dr. José Penna Interzonal Hospital in Bahía Blanca is collapsed due to the heavy rains that have hit the city overnight, leaving more than 200 mm of water in their wake. According to reports from medical center sources, the basement is completely flooded, which has caused serious complications in its operation.
Images and videos have started circulating on social media showing the critical situation in which the hospital finds itself, with water entering different areas, including the emergency rooms. Furthermore, ambulances and vehicles parked in the nearby garage have been affected by the floods.
In light of this situation, internal chaos has erupted in the hospital, forcing a reorganization of the care service to deal with the emergencies that continue to arrive. Despite efforts to maintain operability, the situation remains critical, and the municipality has asked residents to stay sheltered.
