Club Olimpo and River Plate have agreed to hold a friendly match for charitable purposes in support of the victims of the recent storm that hit Bahía Blanca. The president of River Plate, Jorge Brito, contacted the Aurinegra management to propose organizing this charitable event at the Roberto Carminatti stadium.
According to reports, the match will involve the participation of River's professional squad, under the direction of Marcelo Gallardo. Although the exact date is yet to be determined due to scheduling aspects and the need to wait for an improvement in the situation in Bahía Blanca, it is expected that all funds raised will be entirely allocated to those affected by the storm.
River's gesture of solidarity joins the actions of other Argentine clubs like Boca, Racing, and Huracán, which have made donations and sent aid to the affected city. From Olimpo, they highlighted and thanked River's support through an official statement, emphasizing Jorge Brito's call for solidarity with the Bahía Blanca community.
