More than 1,200 tons of donations arrived in Bahía Blanca through the Solidarity Train, which departed from the Constitución station in the City of Buenos Aires and arrived at the La Vitícola station, about 20 kilometers from Bahía Blanca. Among the benefited towns were Carhué, Guaminí, and Coronel Suárez, which had previously suffered the consequences of a storm that occurred on March 7.

The arrival of the train happened after 7:50 at La Vitícola, where several trucks with volunteers were waiting to assist in unloading the donations. Additionally, members of the Security Forces such as the Prefecture, Federal Police, and Gendarmerie were present to safeguard the cargo, which would subsequently be transported to Bahía Blanca. The cargo included non-perishable food, clothing, mineral water, cleaning products, and more.

The Solidarity Train, an initiative that started in 2001 from the magazine Rieles with the aim of promoting the use of the railway for humanitarian purposes, conducted its campaign number 54. This humanitarian mission has received support from railway unions, Trenes Argentinos, and other entities in the sector. Since its inception, the Solidarity Train has traveled more than 31,778 kilometers and delivered 742,000 kilos of food to more than 48 towns across the country, reaching places where passenger trains have not been operational for more than twenty years.

The recent arrival of the solidarity train in Bahía Blanca represents another example of the positive impact of this initiative in helping needy communities.
