Homicide in Azul: Investigation Progresses

In the Buenos Aires town of Azul, a 55-year-old auctioneer was found dead in his home after being the victim of a robbery. The tragic event took place on January 18 at 11 PM, when the man, identified as Antonio Eduardo Bustos, was found lifeless in his home located at Rauch St. No. 598. He showed blood stains on the side of his head, resulting from a gunshot.

Following the discovery, an autopsy was conducted which revealed the presence of a lead projectile in the victim's skull. Under these circumstances, Prosecutor's Office No. 13 summoned the DDI to begin investigations, reclassifying the case as "homicide." Days later, on January 24, the alleged perpetrator of the crime was identified as Ramón Omar Velez.

Authorities managed to locate the suspect and his vehicle on Hubac St. No. 6778 in Ciudad Oculta. During a raid, Velez was immediately arrested and several objects were seized, including cell phones, keys, watches, clothing, USB drives, and other items.

Additionally, it was discovered that the detainee had a criminal record for armed robberies in 2018 and had been released in 2021. The analysis of security cameras was crucial to clarify the identity of the accused and advance the investigation into the auctioneer's homicide in Azul.
