A motorcyclist lost his life this Saturday after being struck by a truck in an accident that occurred on España Street, between Mitre Avenue and Belgrano, in the city of Azul, located about 300 kilometers southwest of Buenos Aires.
The victim was identified as Diego Maximiliano Marianache, 46, who was riding a 150 cc Motomel motorcycle. He was crushed by the larger vehicle, hit a tree, and died instantly.
The other vehicle involved was an Iveco Daily 70-16 tow truck, driven by 58-year-old Miguel José Mele, who reportedly lost control and swerved onto the sidewalk, dragging the deceased.
For the time being, the causes of the accident are under investigation, and authorities are trying to determine what happened to the truck driver.
