Racing will face Corinthians from Ramón Díaz in the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana. After achieving an important 2-2 draw in their visit to Brazil, Racing will host Corinthians this Thursday for the return match.
Gustavo Costas' team managed to eliminate Paranaense and qualify among the top four in the tournament, something they hadn't achieved since 1997. The series between Racing and Corinthians started in Brazil on October 24 and will conclude at the Cilindro a week later, on Thursday, October 31, at 21:30 hours.
In case of a tie in the overall result, qualification will be decided by a penalty shootout, as the away goals rule with double value in case of a tie was abolished starting in 2022. With any tie, Thursday's match at the Cilindro will be decided from the penalty spot; while Racing will only need a victory by a one-goal difference to advance to the final of the Copa Sudamericana.
